Sometimes, even in my darkest moments, Spirit finds a way to make me smile — or even laugh out loud. Their humor often comes in the most unexpected ways.

I’ve woken up with songs like “What’s New Pussycat?” or “Hey Big Spender” playing in my head for no reason at all — except Spirit wanted to lighten the mood. Other times, I’ve stumbled upon something odd, like a single dice lying in the middle of the road, as if Spirit was nudging me to “roll the dice” and take a chance.

They might even draw you to a movie or show that stirs up a memory of a time you laughed until your cheeks hurt.

These little moments are their way of reminding us they’re still close — still themselves — and that joy is a bridge between our world and theirs.

Spirit’s humor is healing. It breaks through heaviness and reminds us that love, laughter, and connection never die. And sometimes, those little signs are just enough to help us smile through the tears.
